Folk afternoon 2011

Folk afternoon 2011

On Sunday the 13th 2011 the POLJANCI presented once more a very bright and many-coloured programme under the motto „Long live love!”
The folk-song „Ako ti je Marko žao“ was performed very interestingly. “V’ krajini okolo Vulke”, the original is a russian folk-song, the popular folk-song „Na te mislim”, and the famous songs „Tamo pokraj mora“, „Dalmatinka“, „Ja pijem da zaboravim“ and „Oprosti mi pape“ were also part of the programme.
At the end the whole audience joind the singing of the well-known song „Leti ptica leti“ composed by Feri Sučić. The „Dances from Wulkaporodersdorf“ were performed by young dancers. All the songs were tremendously catchy so the audience applauded enthusiastically.

The invited guest-group were the „Graničari“from Filež. Besides their demanding musical programme they presented dances from the „Prigorje“, the area around Zagreb and the „Banat“. The POLJANCI were glad to welcome a folk-group from Middle-Burgenland in Wulkaprodersdorf.
